Finexus had collaborated with 25 Startups to invite Dr Ong Kian Ming – Director of the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Programme at Taylor’s University – as a speaker at IdeaXChange, moderated by Mr. Seelan Paul, CEO of NTV7.
Dr. Ong Kian Ming shared several key takeaways. He emphasised how technology is primarily functional and valuable in delivering human-based experiences. For Dr. Ong, technology facilitates communication and engagement in ways that are most comfortable and meaningful to people, utilising platforms such as WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Technology also allows us to learn about individuals through their digital presence, such as on LinkedIn. Nowadays, a person’s activities, achievements, accolades, dreams, concerns, and values are accessible to everyone. This accessibility facilitates preparation, assessment of goal alignment, and the formation of intentional connections.
The true intersection of technology and humanity is seen in how it benefits the B40 community. Despite their significant need, they are often the last to reap the benefits due to a lack of commercial incentives.
We extend our gratitude to 25 Startups for choosing us as your technology-enabler partner for startups.
